Introduction The SkillsUSA--Arizona Career Exploration Programs have been designed to provide leadership and competition opportunities for students in grades 7 through 9. ALL PARTICIPATING STUDENTS MUST BE IN CAREER EXPLORATION PROGRAM! Purpose The Career Exploration Division of SkillsUSA--Arizona has been established to meet the needs of students (in grades 7, 8 and 9) and their teachers interested in active participation in a career & technical student organization focusing on Career & Technical Education. Arizona only competitions are available for these students at the annual SkillsUSA--Arizona Championships. NEW THIS YEAR! SkillsUSA Professional Development Program (Starter Kit) for Middle School Programs The Starter Kit to the PDP is designed to introduce students to an activity-based approach to transitional skills necessary for the world of work. The competencies in this kit focus on individual development with some exposure to team, leadership and employee skills. The activities provide a foundation to explore professional development. | Due to the new CTE Delivery System (from the Arizona Department of Education) changes, we have combined Level 2 with the Career Preparation programs.
