Overview
Leadership Training Camp is SkillsUSA--Arizona's most comprehensive training event. Students attend 3-days of in-depth leadership and employability skill workshops. Professional workshops are also conducted for advisors. But it's not all work and no fun. The camp offers sand volleyball, basketball, campfires, and a recreation center.

Philosophy of Leadership Training Camp
Workshops at Leadership Training Camp focus on developing and improving the leadership and employability skills of each attendee. Students demonstrate effective teamwork and communication skills. Regional officer teams and members also meet to plan their yearly program of work.

Conference Objectives
1. Provide leadership development workshops for students.
2. Allow time for students to network with other students and advisors
    to meet and exchange ideas with peers.
3. Exchange information between state office and advisors

  Frequently Asked Questions

Should I bring my students who went last year?
Yes. We have a new Advanced Track for returning students. It will include Advanced Real Colors and the opportunity to earn the Advanced Statesman pin. LTC sessions are new this year so there will be new experiences for your students.

Where can I find directions to camp?
Directions to camp, as well as more information about United Christian Youth Camp can be found at www.ucyc.com.

How are attendees roomed?
We will make the best effort to room students from the same school together along with an advisor from that school. If you have a special rooming request please contact us at least 2 weeks prior to camp and we will do our very best to accommodate you. There are no co-ed cabins.

Can I attend LTC to fulfill the "leadership" requirement in order to be eligible to register for the SkillsUSA--Arizona Championships?
Yes. Attending Leadership Training Camp makes your program eligible to compete in the SkillsUSA--Arizona Championships during April. More information is here:

Can any SkillsUSA member attend?
Yes. Leadership Training Camp is open to all SkillsUSA members. It is not necessary to be an officer.

What do I need to bring?
Bring comfortable clothing for training sessions and warm clothing for night time. Click here for a checklist.

Do I need to bring official dress?
Official dress is only required if you are a Regional Officer participating in a Flag Raising Ceremony.
