What is a State Officer?
The State Officer Team is comprised of the following offices:

Leadership: Students learn how to motivate others and be successful in a team.  There is also the potential to run for National Office and gain invaluable experience.

 


Friendship:
Meet people from all over the state and nation with similar ambitions and interests.  Gain valuable friends that will last a lifetime.

 


Experience: State Officers have the opportunity to do an amazing amount of exciting things.  From speaking in front of large groups to visiting Washington DC, the opportunities are endless.

 


Training:
Officers will learn a great deal of exciting and useful information.  After the end of the year they will be well versed in a number of essential tools for their future.

 

What is an "At Large" Officer?
These officers are elected as a slate of officers (President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Parliamentarian, Historian and Reporter). After attending the National SkillsUSA Championships, each "At Large Officer" will have the opportunity to be nominated or self-nominate for a specific office. The entire officer team will vote to determine who will serve in each specific office.

How do they represent our members?
State Officers earn the highest offices in SkillsUSA--Arizona and represent our student members at a variety of events throughout the school-year. These events include:
    - SkillsUSA--Arizona Championships, Kick-Off Dinner
    - National SkillsUSA Championships
    - Washington Leadership Training Institute & Legislative Meetings    (optional)
    - Business/Industry visits
    - Fall Leadership Conference
    - Regional Skills & Leadership Conferences
